The Advancement Office provides information about Great Falls Central Catholic High School through publications, announcements, press releases, advertising, and participation in parish and civic groups. The office is responsible for the annual appeal, major fundraising events, alumni relations, maintenance of donor records and assisting donors wishing to make gifts to the school. Advancement staff also work with the school administration in recruitment and retention of students.

Donations to Central’s general endowment and the MAC Fund Operational Endowment (in honor of Fr. Francis Mac McInnis) provide a yearly income to the school through the interest realized from the endowed funds. Individuals may establish individual endowments in a loved one’s name or memorials for such things as scholarships and operating funds. Donations to the endowments may be made through Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana website by clicking the link below.
Montana Endowed Tax CreditJuly 1, 2003 through December 31, 2019:
Planned GiftCredit against Montana state income tax liability in the amount of 40% of the present value of any planned gift to a permanent endowment of a Montana charity (non-profit) up to a maximum amount of $10,000 per year per taxpayer. (Applies to individual or business entity taxpayers)
Outright GiftCredit against Montana state income tax liability in the amount of 20% of the present value of any outright gift by a business entity to a permanent endowment of a Montana charity (non-profit) up to a maximum of $10,000 per year taxpayer. (Applies to corporations, small corporations, partnership or limited liability company taxpayers.)
You may also donate to an existing endowment or set up a newly endowed fund through the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana. All donations to the Great Falls Central Catholic funds directly benefit CCHS and our students.
Support Great Falls Catholic Schools’ largest annual fundraising event! The BALL, held for the first time on January 26, 2018, is a combined fundraiser for Central Catholic, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Holy Spirit Catholic schools. The dinner, live and silent auction, and Fund a Project provide revenue for school operations. You can help by sponsoring the event, donating a live, silent or dessert auction item, purchasing a table or ticket and attending and/or volunteering at this fun event.
Remember or honor someone special through a memorial gift or honorarium. Memorial gifts may be made on-line through Central’s secure on-line giving site.
Appreciated Stock (held more than one year) makes an excellent gift. You avoid all capital gains taxes, will receive a tax deduction, and can deduct it up to 30% of your adjusted gross income. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
Donate boats, cars, real estate or other larger items you no longer need. Donations can provide you with an income tax deduction equal to the market value of the item.
One of the simplest ways is to give of your estate. You can make a gift bequest, after others have been provided for, of a dollar amount, specific property, a percentage of the estate, or what is left (remainder) to Central. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
A simple way to make a significant future gift is to name Central beneficiary to receive all, or a portion of the proceeds of an existing life insurance policy. You will receive a tax deduction for the cash surrender value, thus reducing your tax liability in the year of the gift.
A Gift In-kind can be given to Central for immediate benefit, which in turn is used throughout the campus or for special events (Celebration or school use). Gifts range from file cabinets, weekend cabins, airline miles, and goods and/or services for use as auction items. Value of the gift is tax deductible.
Bonds and mutual funds are similar to cash in their tax treatment. State, Municipal and U.S. Government Bonds are welcome. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
CD’s, Saving, Brokerage, Checking Accounts with P.O.D. – The P.O.D. stands for Payable on Death. You retain full ownership and full control during your life. At your death, the account balance is paid to your named beneficiary (Central) immediately and without probate. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
In exchange for a gift of cash, stocks or securities the organization will pay you, your survivor, or another person you name an income for life. You receive a substantial tax deduction in the year of the gift and part of the income for life. Upon your death, the gift remainder supports the school. Similar to a gift annuity except payments begin at a future date determined by the donor (retirement for example). Your tax deduction and annual rate of return increase the longer you wait to start payments. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
(Irrevocable – Annuity and Unitrusts) Donors can select the rate of return from these income arrangements and also choose a fixed or fluctuating annual payment. Capital gains taxes are completely avoided and you will receive a tax deduction based on the age of the income recipient and the rate of return. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
Many employers match their employee’s gifts to charitable organizations. This is a wonderful way to leverage your gift to the school. If you are not sure if your employer offers matching gift opportunities, the Central Advancement Office can find out and help you obtain the proper documentation.
