WAYS TO SUPPORT GREAT FALLS CENTRAL

1. ONLINE GIVING
Give now through Central’s secure online giving site. Charge the donation to your credit card or checking account. Select from the options for making a gift or contact the Advancement Office to discuss areas of current greatest need.. 3. ENDOWMENT FUND
Donations to Central’s general endowment and the MAC Fund Operational Endowment (in honor of Fr. Francis Mac McInnis) provide annual income to the school generated by the interest realized from the endowed funds. Individuals may establish individual endowments in a loved one’s name or memorials for such things as scholarships and operating funds. Donations to the endowments may be made through Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana website by clicking the link below.

Planned Gift
Credit against Montana state income tax liability in the amount of 40% of the present value of any planned gift to a permanent endowment of a Montana charity (non-profit) up to a maximum amount of $10,000 per year per taxpayer. (Applies to individual or business entity taxpayers)
Outright Gift
Credit against Montana state income tax liability in the amount of 20% of the present value of any outright gift by a business entity to a permanent endowment of a Montana charity (non-profit) up to a maximum of $10,000 per year taxpayer. (Applies to corporations, small corporations, partnership or limited liability company taxpayers.)
You may also donate to an existing endowment or set up a newly endowed fund through the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana. All donations to the Great Falls Central Catholic directly benefit CCHS and our students.

4. BUILDING A LASTING LEGACY (B.A.L.L.)
Support Great Falls Catholic Schools’ largest annual fundraising event! The B.A.L.L., held for the first time on January 26, 2018, is a combined fundraiser for Central Catholic, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Holy Spirit Catholic schools. The dinner, live and silent auction, and Fund a Project provide revenue for school operations. You can help by sponsoring the event, donating a live, silent or dessert auction item, purchasing a table or ticket and attending and/or volunteering at this fun event.

5. MEMORIALS
Remember or honor someone special through a memorial gift or honorarium. Memorial gifts may be made on-line through Central’s secure on-line giving site.

6. APPRECIATED STOCK
Appreciated Stock (held more than one year) makes an excellent gift. You avoid all capital gains taxes, receive a tax deduction, and can deduct up to 30% of your adjusted gross income. Call the Advancement Office for more information.

7. DONATION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
Donate boats, cars, real estate or other larger items you no longer need. Donations provide you with an income tax deduction equal to the market value of the item.

8. BEQUEST THROUGH A WILL
One of the simplest ways is to give is thorough your estate. You can make a gift bequest, after others have been provided for, of a dollar amount, specific property, a percentage of the estate, or what is left (remainder) to Great Falls Central. Call the Advancement Office for more information.

9. GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE
A simple way to make a significant future gift is to name Central as a beneficiary to receive all, or a portion of the proceeds of an existing life insurance policy. You will receive a tax deduction for the cash surrender value, thus reducing your tax liability in the year of the gift.

10. GIFTS IN-KIND
AnIn-kind gift can be given to Central for immediate benefit, which in turn is used throughout the campus or for special events. Examples of these gifts are, but not limited to file cabinets, weekend cabins, airline miles, and goods and/or services for use as auction items. Value of the gift is tax deductible.

11. BONDS, MUTUAL FUNDS
Bonds and mutual funds are similar to cash in their tax treatment. State, Municipal and U.S. Government Bonds are welcome. Call the Advancement Office for more information.
CD’s, Saving, Brokerage, Checking Accounts with P.O.D. – The P.O.D. stands for Payable on Death. You retain full ownership and full control during your life. At your death, the account balance is paid to your named beneficiary (Great Falls Central) immediately and without probate. Call the Advancement Office for more information.

12. GUARANTEED GIFT ANNUITY
In exchange for a gift of cash, stocks or securities the organization will pay you, your survivor, or another person you name an income for life. You receive a substantial tax deduction in the year of the gift and part of the income for life. Upon your death, the gift remainder supports the school. 13. DEFERRED GIFT ANNUITY
Similar to a gift annuity however payments begin at a future date determined by the donor (retirement for example). Your tax deduction and annual rate of return increase the longer you wait to start payments. Call the Advancement Office for more information.

14. CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST
(Irrevocable – Annuity and Unitrusts) Donors can select the rate of return from these income arrangements and also choose a fixed or fluctuating annual payment. Capital gains taxes are completely avoided and you will receive a tax deduction based on the age of the income recipient and the rate of return. Call the Advancement Office for more information.

15. MATCHING GIFT
Many employers match their employee’s gifts to charitable organizations. This is a wonderful way to leverage your gift to the school. If you are not sure if your employer offers matching gift opportunities, the Central Advancement Office can find out and help you obtain the proper documentation.
