1. ENDOWMENTS AT THE CATHOLIC FOUNDATION OF EASTERN MONTANA
Central benefits from several endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana, an independent nonprofit that builds permanent endowments for Catholic organizations in our diocese. Some of our endowments provide scholarships for students, while others meet programming needs or can be used for our greatest needs each year.
Endowments are special because your gift doesn’t just make a difference for Central now—it continues to do so every year, forever! When a gift is made to one of our endowments, the funds are earmarked for Central, then invested. Every year, the Foundation sends the school a distribution check—a certain percentage of the endowment balance—and after a small administrative fee, reinvests any remaining profits into our endowments for growth. The Foundation’s investments are overseen by professional advisors and by a board of Catholic laypeople and clergy throughout our diocese, who ensure that Central’s endowments grow over time to become a steady, reliable source of income for the school.
Endowments make it easy to imagine a future where Central staff and administration can spend less time on fundraising, and more time on what makes our school great. If we build our endowments now, that future won’t be far away. If you’d like to make an outright gift to one of our endowments, please visit https://secure.qgiv.com/for/gfcchs/.
If you’re interested in planned giving options that support Central (like the IRA Charitable Rollover, Charitable Gift Annuities or Deferred Gift Annuities, and more) and the generous tax benefits that go along with them, please reach out to Judy Held, Foundation President, at 406-315-1765 or judy@catholicfoundationmt.org. Montana taxpayers or businesses may be eligible for the generous 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit. Contact Judy to learn more!
